Bengaluru: The state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has finalised the names of the probable candidates for the Kundagol and Chincholi assembly by-elections.
The party leaders recently held a meeting, which was presided over by the state BJP President, BS Yeddyurappa, and finalised the names of the probable candidates. The names of the candidates is sent to the party high command in New Delhi for its final approval.
According to the sources, the names of MR Patil and Chikkanagaudar has been recommended for Kundagol assembly, and Ramachandra Jadhav and Sunil Valyapure for Chincholi.
“The names have been forwarded to New Delhi for the final selection,” said Aravind Limbavali, BJP state unit General Secretary.
Reportedly, former chief secretary Rathna Prabha’s name was not mentioned in the meeting.
