Bengaluru: It seems all is not well within the BJP State Unit. A day after resigning from the President post of BJP Tumakur District Unit, former MLA Suresh Gowda alleged that BJP State Unit President Nalin Kumar Kateel is trying to sideline the Former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa loyalists.
“BSY and B. Y. Vijayendra supporters are targeted in the party,” he alleged after holding a meeting with B.S. Yediyurappa at his Bengaluru residence.
He alleged that he worked for the party as per his godfather BSY’s direction. “I was given B form to contest from Bengaluru Rural Lok Sabha Constituency in the 2019 election. But I didn’t contest to ensure party’s victory in Tumakuru Lok Sabha Constituency,” he said.
He stated that the party should go for 2023 State Assembly elections under BSY and CM Basavaraj Bommai to achieve target of 150 seats.
