Bengaluru: A day after suspended BJP leader from Ballari, Gali Janardhana Reddy made an insensitive statement that Rakesh Siddaramaiah’s untimely death was God’s punishment for the sins committed by his father and former CM Siddaramaiah, BJP has distanced itself from Reddy.
Party senior leader, former minister and MLA S Suresh Kumar were one of the first few to openly slam Reddy for the statement.
He tweeted that it is inhuman that even the personal tragedy that struck an opposition party leader becomes an election issue. “Let no father come across the sadness of his son’s death. Let us not forget humanity,” he tweeted.
“Before our election campaign stooping to further low, concerned must take action. Else we may be forced to listen to more such dangerous words,” he tweeted. He shared the same post on the facebook as well.
It may be recalled that Bellari mining baron has made an insensitive statement against former CM and retorting to the same, Siddaramaiah had said that he only prays that Reddy should not go through such an incident in his life.
