Bengaluru: Upset by the delay in the state cabinet expansion, BJP-loyal MLAs have decided to meet the party high command. Several senior MLAs are travelling to New Delhi on Saturday in this regard.
“These MLAs want cabinet reshuffle to accommodate those lawmakers who are loyal to the party and are young. They are planning to meet the party’s National President JP Nadda in New Delhi to hold discussions,” said party sources.
“These MLAs are visiting New Delhi as CM BS Yediyurappa made it clear to them that he can take up the cabinet reshuffle only if the high command approves,” explained a MLA who wished to be unnamed.
In a surprise move, Kollegal MLA N Mahesh (who was recently expelled from BSP) joined Major Irrigation Minister Ramesh Jarakiholi on a pilgrimage.
N Mahesh, who was suspended for helping BJP form the government in the state, is travelling with Ramesh Jarakiholi to Shirdi. JDS MLA Puttanna has also joined them.
