Bengaluru: Turuvekere BJP MLA S. Jayaram has allegedly threatened to quit his own party if he is not appointed as the head of the “better” board or corporation in the State by the end of this month.
“I have somewhere felt that the party is betraying me, if they do not give me a better board or corporation I know what to do. I have spoken to the State BJP President MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai in this regard, he said.
Demanding appointment to a better board and corporation, he said, “There is not even Rs 10 fund in the Karnataka State Spices Development Board. The situation is such that I will have to go and give food and tiffin there. Why should I take it up?”
Jayaram is the Chairman of the Karnataka State Spices Development Board at present.
