Bengaluru:Two senior Vokkaliga leaders from Vokkaliga strong belt Ramanagar district i.e. KPCC president DK Shivakumar and BJP MLC CP Yogeshwar traded serious charges against each other.
All started with Yogeshwar claiming that both DKShi and former CM JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy are in touch with CM BS Yediyurappa.
“Both are adjustment politicians. They want BSY to continue as the CM,” he stated adding that DKShi must stop behaving like the disciple of rowdy-sheeter Kotwal Ramachandra.
CP Yogeshwar, who is considered close to BSY was recently nominated to the state legislative council. He is considered as the brain behind ‘Operation Kamala’ a year ago to bring BSY back to power.
Hours after his statement, the BJP distanced itself from the episode.
Party general secretary CT Ravi, state tourism minister made it clear that it is not the party’s official position and he doesn’t know why Yogeshwar made such a statement.
KPCC President DKShi lashed out at Yogeshwar. “He came to my house and held my feet begging to re-admit him to the Congress,” he said.
Ex CM HD Kumaraswamy also denied the allegation. He made it clear that he is not in touch with any of the BJP leaders.
