Bangalore: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) plans to issue a charge-sheet against the Congress government headed by chief minister Siddaramaiah highlighting rampant corruption, collapse of law and order and mal-administration and distribute to the people shortly.
“The BJP is in the process of collecting and collating instances of corruption in various departments as well as the government’s collusion with the land mafia which would also be a part of the proposed charge-sheet,” BJP state president B.S. Yeddyurappa told reporters after inaugurating the state executive committee meeting of the BJP slum mocha.
According to Yeddyurappa, the charge-sheet which is being prepared meticulously will expose the total collapse of governance for the last four-and-a-half years with precise instances and also deteriorating law and order situation including the cold-blooded murder of RSS/BJP workers in different parts of the state.
“We will tell the people that this government is diabolical as it has hushed up the controversial death of M.K. Ganapati and make it look like suicide. Lakhs of party cadre will fan out to nook and corner of the state and distribute the charge-sheet to each and every household. The idea is to consolidate the anti-Congress mood prevailing in the state,” he added.
Mahadayi dispute
In response to a question, Yeddyurappa said the BJP delegation from Karnataka will shortly call on the chief ministers of Maharashtra and Goa to convince and persuade those two states to arrive at an amicable solution to the vexed Mahadayi river water dispute.
“We will try to convince the two chief ministers to offer water for drinking purpose. But at the same time, I want our chief minister Shri Siddaramaiah to convince his party leaders who are in the Opposition in those two states,” the BJP president added.
Parivarthan rally
Yeddyurappa has also said that the party has planned a mammoth “parivarthan rally” (mass mobilisation of people for transformation) in the month of November where more than two lakh people will participate. “We would like to have the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and national unit President Shri Amit Shah. The dates are being finalised. We are working out the details,” he added.
Dismissing the comment made by Siddaramaiah against the proposed Parivarthan rally, he said, “People will give an effective and befitting reply to this flamboyance of the chief minister.”
