Bengaluru: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday said it would expose a series of alleged scams in the Congress government.
Speaking to media perons after performing the ground-breaking ceremony for preparations for a convention to be held in Bengaluru’s outskirts to mark the launch of the yatra, BJP national general secretary and Karnataka in charge P. Muralidhar Rao said the omissions and commissions of the Siddaramaiah dispensation will be brought out during the yatra to be flagged by BJP national president Amit Shah.
The 75-day Karnataka Parivarthan Yatra will be launched in Bengaluru on November 2.
Accusing the Siddaramaiah government of indulging in large-scale corruption, he said the yatra was aimed at freeing the State from Congress. “BJP challenges Siddaramaiah and Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi to take part in a public debate on corruption. The debate is no more confined to TV studios, but is going to be on the streets of Karnataka,” Rao said.
He also indicated that several Central leaders of the BJP and Union Ministers would be roped in to attend the rally at different places. The rally, being spearheaded by BJP State president B.S. Yeddyurappa, would cover all 224 Assembly constituencies.
