Bengaluru: BJP’s Karnataka General Secretary Arun Singh stated that the party was sure that all three of its candidates will win in the Rajya Sabha elections.
While BJP nominees Nirmala Sitharaman, the Union Finance Minister, and actor-turned-politician Jaggesh are expected to win due to the BJP’s overwhelming majority in the Legislative Assembly, another candidate, Lehar Singh, is also expected to win.
“MLAs will vote for our candidate based on the achievements of the central government under Narendra Modi and the state government led by Basavaraj Bommai,” he said.
He also slammed Congress for criticising the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), stating that disrespecting the venerated organisation will teach it a lesson.
“The Congress party has ‘lost its mind. They are confused. That is why they are being wiped out. “Congress’ downfall was caused by negative remarks directed at a revered organisation like RSS, which works for the welfare of the people and national unity. People humiliate the Congress and wipe it out when organisations like the RSS are insulted, he added.
