Bengaluru: Former MLA and Senior BJP leader Nirmal Kumar Surana declined the BJP Rajyasabha ticket citing party organisational works.
Nirmal Kumar Surana is serving as the Party State unit Vice President.
BJP State Unit Core Committee has sent his name for the Rajya Sabha ticket.
However, Surana declined the ticket saying he cannot devote his service to the State unit works if he is sent to Rajya Sabha.
Elections have been declared for four Rajya Sabha seats from the State. BJP will likely win two seats with ease while Congress has numbers for another seat. JD (S) support is crucial for the fourth seat.
