Bengaluru: BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel met with Former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa on Tuesday March 29 to discuss party organisation and State tour.
The State tour will be led by Yediyurappa, Kateel, and Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, with the goal of organising the party and strengthening local units ahead of the elections next year.
The State tour will be done in three phases, with the first beginning in the second week of April. The dates for the second and third parts of the tour will be decided following a meeting of the State Executive committee scheduled for April 16 and 17 after the arrival of BJP National President J. P. Nadda.
According to sources, discussions were likely held about the upcoming Cabinet rejig, which is expected to take place after the Ugadi festival. The expansion is expected to happen in the first two weeks of April, giving the Cabinet enough time to make its mark before the April 2023 elections.
According to sources, several MLAs’ names were discussed as candidates for the new Bommai Cabinet.
