B’luru: Body buried in residential area, neighbours object

Bengaluru: In an incident that occurred in Panduranga Nagar of Puttenahalli in South Bengaluru, the family members of an aged woman buried her body in the premises of the house amid resistence  from neighbours on Tuesday February 1.

An 80-year-old woman died three days back and the family members decided to bury the body within their compound. When the layout
association President objected for burying the body, the family members of the woman allegedly stoned him.

Puttenahalli Police rushed to spot and averted the clash between residents and  deceased’s family. According BBMP officers, if the land owner has sufficiant space he/she can bury the body in their residential premises but the permission by neighbors is mandatory for burying.
