Bengaluru: The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) is all set to introduce the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) system. Using this single card, the citizens can travel both on Namma Metro and the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC).
Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) gates which are QR-code compliant have been installed by the BMRC at Phase-1 stations, while Phase-2 stations are equipped with both the NCMC system and QR-code compliant AFC gates.
It can be recalled here that in 2019, the One Nation One Card scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to enable travellers to avail multiple transport facilities across the country.
