The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has announced the rollout of new express bus services connecting Bengaluru to its suburban zones, starting June 21. The move is aimed at reducing traffic congestion and providing quicker, more efficient transit for daily commuters.

Unveiling the initiative, Karnataka Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy stated that limited-stop express buses will operate between Kempegowda Bus Station (Majestic) and Banashankari TTMC, linking five key destinations: Attibele, Devanahalli, Harohalli, and Nelamangala.

A total of 48 schedules and 348 trips will run every 20–30 minutes on these routes:

  • Ex-KBS-3A: Majestic to Attibele – 10 trips
  • Ex-600F: Banashankari TTMC to Attibele – 10 trips
  • Ex-298M: Majestic to Devanahalli – 10 trips
  • Ex-213V: Banashankari TTMC to Harohalli – 8 trips
  • Ex-258C: Majestic to Nelamangala – 10 trips

To promote frequent travel, BMTC has introduced a monthly pass called ‘Express Ordinary Services Pass’ priced at ₹1,500 (excluding tolls), available via the Tummoc app. Notably, fares remain the same as regular BMTC buses.

Additionally, BMTC has launched a spiritual tourism package named ‘Ghati Isha Foundation’, available on weekends and holidays. This AC bus tour starts at 9 a.m. from Kempegowda Bus Station, covering:

  • Nelamangala Anjaneya Swamy Temple
  • Ghati Subrahmanya Temple
  • Jnana Teertha Linga
  • Isha Foundation

The day-long tour, priced at ₹600 per person, includes lunch and concludes by 7 p.m. Two more premium spiritual routes, Isha-1A and 1B, will soon launch from Banashankari TTMC and Central Silk Board respectively.
