On Friday, bomb threats were reported at BMS College, MS Ramaiah College, and BIT College in Bengaluru, leading to widespread panic across the campuses. The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) was deployed to search the areas, and investigations are currently underway to identify the source of these threats. Bengaluru South DCP stated that specialized teams are actively verifying the threat’s credibility. A case has been filed at the Hanumanthnagar Police Station.
Earlier in the day, the prestigious Taj West End hotel on Racecourse Road also received a bomb threat via email. Hotel staff immediately alerted the High Grounds police, who conducted a thorough search in collaboration with the BDDS. Fortunately, the threat was later determined to be a hoax.
Police officials have assured the public that they are taking these threats seriously and conducting detailed investigations to ensure safety.
