Bengaluru: Objecting to the statement of KPCC Chief DK Shivakumar that Commissioner of Police Kamal Panth should stop behaving like a BJP agent, Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that the statement made by the KPCC Chief is only another way of standing by the rioters.
“I condemn his statement. Calling ann upright and honest officer as ‘BJP agent’ is also one way of supporting the rioters. But none of these tactics can save the rioters. The video evidences are in place. The decision taken by the Commissioner of Police against the rioters has been appreciated by all,” Bommai said adding that it is the Congress’ culture of keeping officers as their agents.
It may be recalled that talking about the Bengaluru riots, DK Shi had said that the Congress is being unnecessarily fixed in the case by the police.
“Mr Commissioner, Be careful. We will stage a stir against the police now and not the BJP. You are acting like the agent of the BJP,” he had warned.
