After days of continuous rainfall and overcast skies, Bengaluru is enjoying a short spell of dry weather. However, this relief is likely to be temporary, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting a return of rain by midweek.

According to the IMD’s Bengaluru Meteorological Centre, both Bengaluru Urban and Rural districts are expected to see partly cloudy skies and dry conditions until June 3. From June 4 onward, the weather is predicted to shift, with light to moderate rain anticipated through June 5 and 6, marking the beginning of another wet spell.

Over the past 24 hours, there has been no rainfall recorded in either Bengaluru district. Temperatures are expected to remain stable, with maximums around 30–31°C and minimums at 20–22°C over the next five days.

In the broader Karnataka monsoon outlook, the state is seeing an early and vigorous onset of the southwest monsoon. Coastal districts like Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada are likely to experience heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds. In contrast, southern interior districts, including Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Kolar, Ramanagara, Chikkaballapura, and Chamarajanagar, are expected to receive normal to slightly below-normal rainfall, though moderate showers are still forecast.

Residents are advised to stay updated with local weather alerts as conditions evolve during the week.
