Brigade Group Acquires 11-Acre Whitefield Plot for ₹2,000 Cr Office Project
Brigade Group, a publicly listed real estate giant based in Bengaluru, has acquired an 11-acre land parcel in Whitefield, one of the city’s prime tech and business zones. The firm plans to construct a Grade A premium office space of approximately 1.5 million sq ft, valued at an estimated ₹2,000 crore, according to the company’s statement.
This strategic move highlights Brigade’s continued focus on strengthening its footprint in commercial real estate, especially in high-demand zones such as Whitefield, known for its robust metro connectivity and thriving corporate infrastructure.
“Whitefield continues to be a magnet for office demand due to its strategic location and vibrant business environment. With modern, eco-conscious design and sustainable facilities, this development will distinguish itself in Bengaluru’s commercial sector and reinforce Brigade’s dominance in the Grade A office leasing market,” said Nirupa Shankar, Joint Managing Director of Brigade Enterprises Limited. She also emphasized that the project aligns with the company’s net-zero sustainability goals.
Brigade is aggressively expanding its commercial real estate portfolio, with plans to add 8 million sq ft of office space across southern Indian cities, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Trivandrum, and Kochi. Currently, the company manages 10 million sq ft of office space, with many new developments in design or construction phases.
Nearly half of the new commercial projects are concentrated in Bengaluru and will feature large-scale office parks designed to meet the demands of modern enterprises and flexible workspace requirements.
