Bengaluru: The friction between BJP State President BS Yeddyurappa and Senior BJP leader K S Eshwarappa, with regard to appointment of members to the state BJP has landed before the RSS as the latter has complained to the RSS bigwigs against BSY. If sources are to be believed the dissenters, led by K S Eshwarappa have decided to boycott the meeting called for by BSY on Saturday.

Reportedly, a meeting was held at the residence of K S Eshwarappa, which was attended by rebels like BJP Vice-President Bhanu Prakash, MLA Sunil KLumar, BJP General Secretary C T Ravi, among others to discuss if the Saturday meeting was to be boycotted or not. While the meeting resolved to boycott the meet to bring to fore the displeasure nurtured by the rebels, most of the rebels had expressed their contempt against the behaviour of Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandalaje and have hence decided to complaint to the BJP top brasses against her. Karandalaje had made scathing and derogatory remarks against the rebel members.

Speaking to the media, Eshwarappa said that the appointments have been done by BSY unilaterally, without taking any opinion from the party core-committee. “If he says I am wrong, I will accept my defeat,” said Eshwarappa.

C T Ravi said that the behaviour of the State Chief may create an environment not conducive for the upcoming Assembly polls. “He should make sure that people who have worked and stood by the party during difficult times are not sidelined,” Ravi said.

Most of the rebels say that they want BSY to head the BJP in the state, but on the similar lines as he did during his last three terms as BJP state chief.
