Bengaluru: Shortly after Chief Minister Siddarmaiah took a jibe at State BJP Chief B S Yeddyurappa terming his slum visits as an ‘election gimmick’, the later retorted sharply stating that he need not take Siddaramaiah’s father’s permission to visit slums.
“As a Chief Minister, he never visited a slum and nor had food with them. So, now he can’t tolerate what BJP is doing. People will look at us and decide what to do. My intention is not to save the slums with this visit, I assure them that if we come to power we will solve their problems,” he added.
Meanwhile, B. S Yeddyurappa came down heavily against the Chief Minister for mangling the design of the state in ‘# Nanna Karnataka’ released by the Congress. “Karnataka chart, the flag may be an issue of election for you. But, I have utmost devotion and respect towards them. This is as inexcusable as mangling the flag of the Nation,” he said in a Twitter message.
