Bengaluru: Even though today is a Sunday, there is no holiday for political developments in the state capital. Bengaluru city has been witnessing major political activities since early this morning.
The day started with BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa meeting former CM S M Krishna at his residence. What made this meeting more interesting is the presence of Chikkaballapura MLA K Sudhakar of the Congress party at the former CM’s residence. Even though it was supposed to be a BSY-SMK meeting, it turned out to be a BSY-SMK meeting with K Sudhakar, a critic of Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.
If sources are to be believed, BSY assured a ministerial berth to Sudhakar if he quits the Congress party and joins the BJP. Sudhakar assured that he would discuss the offer with his supporters in his home constituency.
Later in the day, newly elected MP from Mandya, Sumalatha Ambareesh met with BSY at his residence. According to sources, BSY communicated to the BJP national leadership that Sumalatha will join them. She will be inducted into the union cabinet.
