Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister, BJP state unit president BS Yeddyurappa started a discussion on the possible party candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in New Delhi. He is meeting with the RSS and the BJP senior functionaries in the national capital.
According to the BJP sources, Yeddyurappa is expected to meet the party national president Amit Shah on Friday evening where the party candidates’ list is expected to be finalised.
According to the party sources, Shobha Karandlaje is expected to be the party candidate from the Bengaluru North Lok Sabha constituency replacing incumbent MP and union minister DV Sadananda Gowda.
Jayaprakash Hegde is expected to be the party candidate from the Udupi-Chikkamagaluru constituency.
Another interesting development reported from the RSS circles is that Mangaluru MP Nalin Kumar Kateel is expected to be replaced with Billava leader Satyajith, a Bajarang dal leader. “It is to maintain the caste balance,” said a leader accompanying BSY in New Delhi.
