Bengaluru: After the Congress-Janata Dal (S) coalition government released the alleged call tapes of the Bharatiya Janata Party State President B S Yeddyurappa conducting ‘Operation Lotus’ with a JDS legislator Naganagouda Kandkur’s son Sharangouda, as a counter-attack, the BJP has threatened to release a video of Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy offering Rs 25 Crore to an MLC , here on Saturday, February 9.
Former minister from BJP, Aravind Limbavalli, addressing the media, has said that former MLA from the BJP Vijugouda Patil was offered Rs 25 Crore by Kumaraswamy to become MLC from JDS.
He also mentioned about revealing the video clip on the floor of the Assembly during the post-budget session on Monday, February 11.
According to Aravind Limbavalli, the video will be released by BSY and he has also invited CM HDK to watch the video in Speaker’s chamber.
He has criticised the move of the JDS party claiming the creation of a ‘fake’ audio clip of BSY and Sharangouda and has questioned whether it was created in Kanteerava Studio.
Aravind has also asked if HDK had gone somewhere to create such an audio clip leaving behind all his responsibilities.
He said, “Speaker Ramesh Kumar himself has said that it doesn’t sound like BSY’s voice. Who has given offers to whom will be revealed on Monday.”
Regarding suspicions about the responsibilities of ‘Operation Lotus’ having been given to him, he refused to answer and said that he was busy with the campaigning activities of the party for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
Aravind Limbavalli said, “I have been made the party in-charge of Telangana due to which I would be busy there and hence will not be able to attend the Assembly sessions.”
