Bengaluru: Minutes after the Lok Sabha election exit polls were out, the residence of BJP state unit president, former CM B S Yeddyurappa in the Dollar’s Colony, witnessed hectic political activity. Senior party leaders came to meet him till midnight to discuss the poll outcome and the possibility of the formation of a new government in the state.
According to sources, BJP senior leaders including R Ashok, G S Basavaraju, Arvind Limbavali and others visited BSY’s residence and held discussions.
BSY, who spoke to the media, expressed confidence that the BJP will return to power with over 300 seats, a clear majority. “In Karnataka, we will reach our expectations,” he said.
If sources are to be believed, B S Yeddyurappa also spoke to Congress rebel leader Ramesh Jarakiholi in the night, about the possibility of conducting ‘Operation Kamala’.
