Burnt dead body of unidentified man found at Patrame

Belthangady: A burnt dead body of a person has been recovered from an isolated area of Patrame village here.

The dead body of a male, estimated to be about 30 to 40 years of age was found disposed on the roadside, about three kms from Dharmasthala.

It is now a mystery if the man had killed himself or someone had murdered him and disposed his body off in a safe secluded place.

But, the locals say that since there are no obvious signs of the man having ran helter-skelter in the area after being set on fire, he must have been brought dead and set on fire here.

Patrame is a remote village which is almost isolated from the town. Though there are narrow roads, not many vehicles ply here. Even density of people in this area is rather thin, making it a convenient place to undertake such activities.

SP Bhushan Borase, DySP Ravish among others have visited the spot.
