Bengaluru: One of the common concern expressed by several BJP leaders, who don’t have a RSS background, following the defeat the party suffered in the Nanjanagud and Gundlupet by-elections is that the state RSS leaders may misuse this to sideline party state president B S Yeddyurappa. A tweet by Chakravarthy Sulibele has confirmed this concern.
In a tweet, Chakravarthy Sulibele who is currently touring across the state stated that high time now to bring back @santhoshbjp for strategies in Karnataka. Organization here is to be rebuilt. Pls consider.
His tweets were tagged to BJP state president Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This tweet evoked mixed reaction with several party leaders expressing concern that many RSS leaders wanted Santosh as the state party organisational secretary again.
“When BSY was the CM, Santosh was the organisation secretary. Differences of opinion between these two leaders was an open secret. When BSY quit BJP in 2012, one of the reasons he attributed for his departure was highhandedness of Santosh. Once BSY returned to party, Santosh was shifted to national level. If party brings back him to state again, it may lead to another confrontation,” said a leader who wished to be anonymous.
