Bengaluru: Minister for Food and Civil Supplies and consumer affairs B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan stated that the Congress leaders can’t help it if the JDS leaders start doubting the dinner parties that they attend.
Reacting to the JDS’ allegations regarding the Mandya Congress leaders having dinner with independent candidate Sumalatha Ambareesh, he asked if it is wrong for leaders to have dinner together after the elections. “The votes are safe inside the EVMs. Why must the JDS express doubt?” he asked.
He also stated that the JDS made a mistake by not taking the Mandya Congress leaders into confidence. “They should have taken all the leaders into confidence before the polling,” he said.
Meanwhile, if sources in the Congress are to be believed, the party’s state leaders spoke to its Mandya leaders and discussed the dinner politics.
