Bengaluru: A contempt of court case was been filed against Punit Rajkumar starer ‘Anjaniputra’ movie’s team at the 17th City Civil Court on Wednesday, December 27.

Lawyer G Narayanaswamy had filed a petition against the movie director A Harsha, Producer M N Kumar, Kannada Chalana Chitra Vanijya Mandali (KCCVM) and the censor board. The court considered the petition and the trial is expected to be held today, December 28.

According to the petitioner, ‘Anjaniputra’ has dialogues which humiliate lawyers. “We had filed a petition questioning these dialogues before the 40th City Civil Court. After a trial, the court had banned the show till January 2. Though the order copy has reached them, the movie team didn’t stop showcasing the film,” Narayanaswamy said.

“The movie is being shown in many film theatres across the state. This is nothing but a contempt of court and we had filed another petition. The court has considered it and we will provide enough evidence during the trial,” he added.
