Bengaluru: With the rise in the number of swine flu cases in the city, the health department has cautioned its citizens. As of yesterday, 46 swine flu cases were already reported and recorded by the department.
Dr Sreenivasa, Health Officer, said that the department had already asked the people to take the necessary steps and precaution to prevent the spread of the virus. They were also instructed to take proper care of their hygiene and to cover their faces when sneezing.
Previously, cases of swine flu were reported in Shivamogga district with the number of cases being 16 as early as September 27. Health officials suspect that the flu might have begun its spread from Bengaluru.
Reportedly, the areas susceptible to the flu are Dommasandra, Singasandra, Sahakara Nagar, Konanakunte, Begapur, M S Palya, Amruthahalli, Jalahalli, Avalahalli, K R Puram, B Narayanapura, Doddakannahalli, Garudacharpalya, Siddapura, Varthur, Kodi, Ramamurthy Nagar, and Marathahalli.
