Bengaluru: No school children were involved in preparing the caste census. The accusations surrounding the survey are unfounded. Jayaprakash Hegde, the chairman of the State Permanent Backward Classes Commission, affirmed that the survey was conducted using a scientific approach.

He addressed the media following a meeting with a delegation from the State Vokkaliga Association in the city on Friday. The delegation presented a memorandum urging the dismissal of the caste census report from the H Kantharaj Commission.

This report does not undertake any task to dominate any society. It has been clarified that the Kantharaj Commission’s report was prepared by collecting data from officials.
