BENGALURU, April 16: In a major anti-drug operation, the Central Crime Branch (CCB) Anti-Narcotics Wing arrested 10 individuals, including a foreign national and eight peddlers from Kerala, in two separate cases on Tuesday.

🔹 Case 1 – Hydro Ganja Bust:
Jijo Prasad (25), a civil engineer from Kerala residing in Bommasandra, was arrested for selling hydro ganja in areas like Electronics City. Acting on a tip-off, police seized:

  • 3.554 kg of hydro ganja

  • Rs 27 lakh in cash

  • Prasad reportedly sourced the drug from Kerala and packed it in 100g airtight plastic covers, selling it for Rs 12,000 per gram. His accomplice remains absconding.

    🔹 Case 2 – MDMA Seizure from Foreign National:
    Christin Sopuruchukwu, who came to India in 2012 on a business visa, was found staying illegally with fake documents. He was arrested in Begur limits with:

    • 1 kg of MDMA crystals worth Rs 2 crore

    He allegedly sold MDMA at Rs 20,000 per gram to fund a luxurious lifestyle. A report has been sent to the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO).

    🔹 Kerala Drug Peddlers Arrested:
    Eight peddlers from Kerala were nabbed from a lodge near Atturu Layout in Yelahanka New Town. Police say they purchased drugs from foreign nationals and sold them to students. Seized from them:

    • 110 grams of MDMA worth Rs 22 lakh

    These coordinated crackdowns reflect CCB’s intensified focus on tackling drug networks across the city.
