Bengaluru: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) has handed over the case involving the apprehension of five suspected terrorists in the city to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The NIA has filed an FIR related to this incident. The individuals in custody, namely Suhail Ahmed, Zahid Tabrez, Mudasir Pasha, Mohammad Faisal Rabbani, and Mohammad Umar, will now be under the jurisdiction of the NIA.

The five suspected terrorists had obtained explosives, including grenades, with the intention of conducting a series of subversive actions in Bengaluru. Naseer had radicalized these individuals while he was incarcerated. Once the CCB police became aware of these developments, they reached out to the Central Intelligence Agency for assistance. On July 19 this year, a joint operation involving personnel from both divisions was executed to apprehend the suspects.
