Bengaluru: The transfer spree continued in the state and on Tuesday night, the state government transferred celebrated IPS officer D Roppa. It is the third transfer for D Roopa in last two years.
According to the transfer order issued by the DPAR, D Roopa has been appointed as the IGP (Railways). Earlier, she was working as the IGP of Home Guards. Another IPS officer Vishnuvardhana has been appointed as the SP, ACB, Mysuru South.
Tough cop Roopa had been transferred 41 times in her 18 years of service. The firebrand officer had shook the state by exposing large scale irregularities at the Parappana Agrahara, Bengaluru and brought top brasses under scanner for extending VIP treatment to some prisoners.

The state government also transferred three IAS officers working with the BBMP.
D Randeep will be the additional commissioner (IT and Finance) with the additional responsibility of waste management. Dr Lokesh will be an additional commissioner (administration) and SS Nakul will be the additional commissioner (South).
