Bengaluru: The Union Home Ministry has granted Z category security to former Chief Minister and senior BJP leader BS Yeddyurappa.
Yediyurappa has been provided with Z-category security, which will be implemented by CRPF personnel within the state. Earlier, the Union Home Ministry had revoked security protection for all former Chief Ministers. Following requests from Yediyurappa, DV Sadananda Gowda, and Jagadish Shettar to reinstate their security details, Yediyurappa has now received Z-category security.
Yediyurappa’s enhanced security will be managed by commandos from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), as instructed by the Home Ministry. A team of 33 Z-category security personnel has been assigned to safeguard Yediyurappa.
