Divyanshu Shekhar, CEO and co-founder of Bengaluru-based start-up Zero, recently took to LinkedIn to share the humorous side of dating as an entrepreneur. In his post, Shekhar revealed how challenging it is to balance work and romance, admitting that he often ends up discussing business strategies with dates instead of personal topics. “Dating as a founder is tough. I go in hoping to talk about feelings… and somehow end up pitching my business plan,” he joked.

The post quickly went viral, prompting an avalanche of responses online. While some sympathized with his struggle, others couldn’t resist poking fun. One user teased, “Has anyone shown interest in funding your venture? Maybe gauge interest by seeing if she offers to split the bill first!”

Others shared their own experiences, with one recounting, “A friend once dated a guy who brought blueprints to their first date and offered her a condo in another state. She blocked him right after!”

Shekhar’s post highlights the unique challenges founders face, especially when personal and professional lines blur.
