Bengaluru: Common Entrance Test (CET) entrants had more to complain on examination centres than question papers after Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) made several changes in examination centres which were far away from their respective colleges.

In Bengaluru alone, those studying in colleges in Bengaluru North were allocated centres in the south and vice versa. Students left their homes in the early hours as they were supposed to reach the exam half an hour in advance.
KEA followed the footsteps of the Department of Pre-University Education (DPUE), which had resorted to randomisation in allotment of exam centres to prevent malpractices.
Students were seen travelling to their respective examination centres even a day in advance to locate and ascertain the time required to reach the centre, keeping in mind the regular traffic woes in the city. People returning to work after a long weekend only added to their problems and many were seen complaining of fatigue even before entering the exam centres.
Candidates appeared for Biology and Mathematics papers today with Physics and Chemistry to follow in the morrow. The Kannada language test for those staying outside Karnataka (Horanadu) and in border areas (Gadinadu) of the state will be conducted on May 4.
CET is the qualifying exam for gaining entry into engineering, agriculture and Ayush courses. Medical and Dental course aspirants will be taking National Entrance Cum Eligibility Test (NEET) for the first time.
