Bengaluru: The results of the Common entrance Test (CET)-2018 conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority were announced on Friday, June 1. Admissions to higher technical education are made on the basis of the rank scored in the CET examination.
In the engineering stream, Sridhar Doddamani, a student of Excellent PU College, Vijayapura bagged the first rank while Narayan Pai from Mangaluru came second.
Other toppers in engineering stream include Debarsho Sannyasi (Rank 3), Tuhin Girinath (Rank 4) Aneeta James (Rank 5).
In the BVSc stream, two students of Expert PU College, Valachil figured in the top ranks. While Vineet Megur secured the first rank, Vaishvi P J bagged fourth rank.
The CET results are usually announced by the Minister for Higher Education but as the coalition government is yet to name the cabinet ministers, the additional chief secretary of medical education and principal secretary of higher education made the annoucement today at the KEA office in Bengaluru.
