Bengaluru: In the wake of a change in the State BJP leadership, the Congress, sensing a comeback, is bringing back its war horses. Latest addition will be Madhu Bangarappa, prominent backward classes leader from Shivamogga.
Madhu Bangarappa, son of former CM S Bangarappa is joining Congress on July 30. Presently he is in JDS.
Madhu Bangarappa who started his political career from Congress joined JDS later. He was once MLA from the party. However, he got defeated in the 2018 Shivamogga Lok Sabha election and 2019 general election from the same constituency.
Madhu’s entry is anticipated to offer the Congress a much-needed boost in Shivamogga, where the party currently lacks a credible face apart from former minister Kagodu Thimmappa.
