
Chargesheet Filed in Bengaluru Rave Party Case

Bengaluru: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) has filed a 1,086-page chargesheet in connection with a rave party held at a farmhouse near Electronics City on May 15. The court has yet to admit the chargesheet.
Details of the Case:
- Event: The party, organized by Vasu L at GR Forms, was part of his birthday celebration and his event management firm’s first anniversary.
- Attendees: The event attracted attention due to the presence of Telugu actress Hema (Krishnaveni), who was reportedly involved in drug consumption. Another actress tested negative for drugs and is a witness in the case.
Charges:
- 88 Accused: The chargesheet names 88 individuals, including the organizer Vasu L, his associates, and a Nigerian national, Augustine Dada, for organizing the party and drug distribution.
- Drug Consumption: 79 accused, including Hema, are booked under the NDPS Act Section 27(b) for drug consumption. The penalty may include imprisonment of up to six months or a fine of up to Rs 10,000, or both.
Evidence:
- Seized Items: MDMA pills, MDMA crystal, hydro cannabis, cocaine, hydro ganja, mobile phones, and vehicles (Volkswagen and Land Rover) were seized during the raid.
- Witnesses: The chargesheet includes 82 witnesses, including CCB officials, farmhouse employees, and forensic experts.
Additional Details:
- Political Angle: The MLA sticker found on an SUV belonging to accused Arun was expired. Arun claimed it was purchased from a deceased driver. Police have ruled out any political involvement in the case.
