Bengaluru: In connection with second PU Chemistry qustion paper leak case, the CID sleuths who are investigating the case are likely to arrest few more teachers, including the principle of a college.

CID had arrested three accused in the case, Manjunath, Obalaraju and Rudrappa, on Monday. Two PT teachers, Anil and Satish were arrested on Wednesday and produced before the First ACMM court on Thursday. The court remanded the duo in police custody till April 16.

During the questioning, the arrested accused revealed to the probing team that the principal of a private college is also involved in the scam.

“The questioning of PT teachers, Anil and Satish, has revealed that the principal of a private college was also involved in the case. He would be picked up very soon as the teams are hunting for him. Besides, role of a few other teachers has emerged during the course of investigation. All suspects will be questioned in the coming days,” an official said.

“The call details report of the three suspects Shivakumar, Dinesh and Kiran are being verified to know who all approached them to get the question paper. Once it is done, the address of the callers will be identified and will be summoned for questioning,” the official added.

“All the questions were handwritten and it is suspected that PT teacher Manjunath’s wife Leelavathi has written it. Her handwriting samples are collected and both will be matched by experts. If it turns out to be her’s, she will also be booked. However, she is absconding since the arrest of her husband,” the official said.

CID is also likely to interrogate few members of the administrative boards of private colleges in connection with the case.
