Bengaluru: Author Chetan Bhagat will not be attending the Bangalore Literature Festival (BLF) this year to be held on October 27 and 28 at Lalit Ashok Hotel in the city.

It was earlier said that the seventh edition of the festival will have over 150 authors and speakers from across the country including Chetan Bhagat. However, Chetan Bhagat, citing other commitments, said that he would not take part in BLF.

Though the organisers of BLT had not officially announced the author’s name they were in contact with him regarding his participation in this event, said sources.

The writer was recently accused of sending inappropriate messages to various women. Despite the allegations, the Chetan was not dropped from the event he was considered one of the main attractions of this event.
