Bengaluru: Sandalwood actor Chiranjeevi Sarja’s final rites were held at his brother, actor Dhruva Sarja’s farmhouse in Nelaguli, near Ramanagar town on Monday, June 8.
As per the Vokkaliga tradition, Sarja’s body was buried. A group of priests from Bengaluru assisted the family members in performing the last rights.
The local police had to use mild lathi-charge to disperse the crowds that thronged the area in large numbers.
Sarja’s pregnant wife Meghana Raj and others were present.
It can be recalled that Chiranjeevi Sarja passed away on June 7 after suffering a cardiac arrest.
He was the nephew of Kannada actor Arjun Sarja and grandson of veteran actor Shakti Prasad.
