Chitradurga: Eight Government School teachers in Chitradurga District have been booked for their alleged involvement in the Modicare chain link business. Ravi Shankar Reddy has been suspended from service.
About 500 Primary, Higher Primary and Secondary School teachers serving in the District are running this business. Mallikarjun had lodged a complaint with the Education Department.
The Education Department has taken steps in this regard. As per the instructions of the Commissioner, 16 teachers were issued notices and asked to appear before it. A joint interrogation of these teachers was held on February 1 at DIET in Chitradurga. During the interrogation, it was established that eight teachers were involved in the private business.
