Chitradurga: A rather different kind of marriage was solemnised at Sigehatti village of Hiriyur taluk and a TikTok video of the wedding has gone viral.
Lovers Arun and Amritha belong to the same community, but their families were opposed to their decision of getting married. Many attempts, including the intervention of the village head too had gone futile as Amritha’s parents stood firm on their decision. With antagonism brewing and with no solution visible, the couple decided to get married on their own.
As per the reports, Amritha is said to have informed her parents that she was going out and would be back in a while. She had then directly met Arun and got married in a filmy style.
A TikTok video has been made of this wedding in which the girl is seen running towards her lover and as soon as she inches close, the man puts the ‘Mangalsutra’ around her neck. This video has now gone viral.
As per the sources, Amritha is pursuing her Master of Arts (M.A.) degree at Tumakuru University and Arun works in a goat farm.
