CIA and NIA Investigate Pakistani Family Living in Bengaluru Under False IDs
The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) are conducting an in-depth investigation into a Pakistani family of four who lived in Jigani under false identities for six years. Authorities are treating the case with utmost seriousness, and the probe has been intensified on multiple fronts.
In parallel, the Anekal sub-division police are gathering information about the detainees. The accused have been produced before the court and remanded to police custody until October 9.
On Tuesday, ADGP (Law and Order) R. Hithendra and Central Range IGP Labhu Ram visited Jigani to confer with investigating officers on the progress of the case. Authorities are focusing on how the accused obtained Indian passports, Aadhaar cards, and PAN cards, as well as identifying those who assisted them in acquiring these documents.
Hithendra informed reporters that the statements provided by the accused during the investigation are being verified for accuracy. Several documents, including laptops, mobile phones, and photocopies seized from their residence, have been sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL). The results are expected to provide further insight into the suspects’ activities.
During the visit, senior officials, including SP C.K. Baba, ASP Nagaraju, DYSP Mohan, and Circle Inspector Manjunath, were also present.
The case has raised serious concerns about national security and the efficiency of identity verification systems. Central and state agencies are collaborating to uncover the full scope of the accused’s activities and any potential threats they may pose to national security.
