The CID‘s special investigation team has filed a chargesheet in a special court for elected officials, addressing serious criminal allegations against BJP MLA Munirathna Naidu and three of his associates, including a suspended police inspector. The 2,481-page chargesheet accuses Naidu of multiple offenses, including criminal conspiracy and evidence tampering.
The chargesheet also implicates R Sudhakar, P Srinivas, and suspended inspector B Iyyanna Reddy, who are accused of targeting political rivals through a honey trap and destruction of evidence. The investigation highlights their involvement in orchestrating a criminal plot against Naidu’s opponents.
The chargesheet is backed by testimonies from 146 witnesses and 850 pieces of documentary evidence. Eight witnesses provided voluntary statements in a closed court, according to the CID’s press release.
The woman at the center of the case filed a complaint in September with the Kaggalipura police in Ramanagara district, accusing Naidu of serious criminal behavior. The SIT is also probing additional charges of bribery and misconduct against the MLA, though chargesheets for these cases are yet to be filed.
