Bengaluru: After Ramachandrapura Mutt Pontiff Sri Raghaveshwara Bharathi who is facing rape charges in two cases failed to appear for the medical tests, the CID decided to cancel the granted bail.
The CID has filed an application before the sessions court to cancel the bail granted. Special Public Prosecutor B A Belliappa filed the application as Bharathi failed to appear for three medical tests in connection to the rape complaint filed by a Ramakatha singer.
After submitting the chargesheet, the CID issued a notice to Bharathi to appear for medical tests on September 30. However, Bharathi sent a reply that he had already appeared for the DNA test and there was no necessity for other tests.
