Bengaluru: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) which is probing the suicide case of KAS officer Bheema Nayak’s driver Ramesh, will summon Mining Baron and former minister G Janardhan Reddy and question him.
According to sources, the CID is trying to collect more evidence before questioning Reddy. KAS officer Bheema Nayak had earlier confessed to CID that he helped Janardha Reddy to convert demonetised currency ahead of his daughter’s wedding. Nayak named Janardhan Reddy, MP B Sriramulu, a few builders, businessmen, friends and relatives, during interrogation.
“We even suspect that a few bank employees might have helped them in the alleged Rs 100 crore money laundering. However, we are yet to establish evidence that Rs 100 crore was exchanged,” said CID sources.
