Cinema theater staff beat man to death over Rs.10 parking fee dispute

Bengaluru: In a heart-wrenching incident, two staff of a cinema theatre allegedly murdered a person over Rs.10 parking fee dispute. The incident has been reported from Lavanya theatre of the city.

According to the police, Bharanidharan (38), a resident of Austintown of the city arrived at the theatre on Friday evening to watch Kanchana3. As the show had already started he had parked his bike in a hurry and started running inside the theatre. Two staff of the theatre, identified as Shekar and Selvaraj allegedly chased him seeking Rs.10 parking fee.

Bharanidharan informed the staff that he will pay the fee later as he is getting late for the movie, but the duo urged him to pay on the spot which turned into an ugly spat. Both the staff allegedly dragged Bharanidharan inside a room of the theatre and bashed him up.

A person who saw the incident alerted the police. Even though the Hoysala police rushed to the spot and took Bharanidharan to the
hospital, he died on the way.

Both the accused have been arrested.
