Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, a class 10 student committed suicide after her parents confiscated her mobile phone at Rajajinagar, on Thursday, October 10 night.
According to the Subramanyanagara police, who have registered a UDR case, the student is the daughter of a local priest.
The police said, “The parents had decided not to buy their daughter a mobile phone till she completes SSLC. But, she had hid a mobile phone in one of her books. The parents came to know about this and snatched it away. Upset by this, the girl committed suicide on Thursday night.”
Police officials also mentioned that the incident occured when the parents went out for a walk after dinner.
